Meet The Little Free Pantry —tiny community-powered food boxes inspired by the Little Free Library® concept. Stocked with non-perishables, hygiene items, and everyday essentials, these pantries offer 24/7, low-barrier access for anyone facing food insecurity.

Why They Matter:

Founded in Fayetteville, AR (May 2016) by Jessica McClard, now a global movement.
Serve as grassroots, mutual aid: build stronger neighborhoods through giving and receiving.
Especially vital in areas where nearly 30% of food-insecure people aren’t eligible for federal aid.
In 2023, the overall food insecurity rate in Madison County, NY was 11.3%, meaning a substantial portion of the population struggles to access adequate food.
